Privacy Policy

Cubewords is a daily crossword game from Space Inch, LLC (“we”). This policy covers the Cubewords apps for iPhone and Android and the Cubewords website, cubewords.vercel.app.
What we collect
Nothing, if you don’t sign in. You can play without an account. Your progress, streak and reminder time are kept on your device.
Your account. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive an account ID from them, your email address (with Apple this can be a private relay address), and your name if you share it. Google also sends a link to your profile picture.
Your saved progress. While you’re signed in, we store your Cubewords progress with your account so you can pick it up on another device or on the website: the letters you’ve filled in, the squares you’ve revealed, which cubes you’ve solved and how long they took.
Purchases. Cubewords Plus is sold through the App Store and Google Play. They handle payment, and we never see your payment details. The app checks your subscription with the store on your device.
Technical information. When the app or website loads cubes or saves progress, our hosting providers receive your IP address and basic details of the request, as with any online service.
We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking, and we don’t sell your information or share it for advertising.
How we use it
We use this information to sign you in, save and sync your progress, deliver each day’s cubes, and answer you when you write to us.
Who else handles it
- Supabase stores accounts and saved progress, in the United States.
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Apple and Google handle sign-in and purchases.
- GitHub keeps encrypted nightly backups of our database for 30 days.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Deleting your account
In the app, open Settings and choose Delete account. This deletes your account and the progress saved to it right away and removes Cubewords’ access to your Sign in with Apple account. Copies in our encrypted backups are gone within 30 days. Progress kept on your device stays there until you delete the app.
You can also email us to ask for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it.
Children
Cubewords isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child has given us personal information, email us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
